Midrash
Elijah will come to herald the arrival of the Messiah, and he will teach the mysteries of the calendar, revealing the hidden times of God.
At the end of days, Elijah will stand on the mountains of Israel and blow the great shofar, proclaiming the time of redemption.
Don’t let anyone deceive you at all! For the gathering will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who replaces and exalts himself above every “god” or object of worship, so that he sits in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
If Israel repents for even a single day, the Son of David (Messiah) will come immediately. If they do not repent, the redemption will come in its appointed time.
Truth will spring from the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven. In the days of the Messiah, the times of God will become clear, and the righteous will walk in His light.
Elijah will resolve all disputes in the end of days, including those about the calendar and the times appointed for redemption.
