Before the Messiah comes, there will be a great war involving all the nations. They will gather against Israel, but the Holy One, Blessed be He, will deliver His people with a mighty hand.
The Holy One, Blessed be He, has set a time for redemption, but if Israel merits, the Messiah will come earlier.
Just as the seventh day of creation was sanctified and made holy, so too will the seventh millennium be a time of holiness and rest for the righteous.
Elijah will not come until the generation is entirely guilty or entirely righteous.
