2nd Temple Jerusalem
These two maps are a living, continuously updated layout of Jerusalem designed to help locate and identify key places frequently mentioned in Second Temple–period research. Some features belong to the post–70 AD era; as the project develops, those later additions will be marked.
Because many elements of Jerusalem’s ancient topography are subjects of ongoing scholarly debate, portions of this map should be understood as provisional. Our aim is simply to present the most accurate, and useful reconstruction as we can make possible.
We hope these evolving maps deepens your understanding and helps you to continue to step into the world of a Hebrew living during the Second Temple era.
