Firstly, it is the place to which everything returns in the “great” Jubilee, i.e. the completion of the world’s cycle of 7000 years. We are familiar with the basic concept from the Torah’s יובל (jubilee), the jubilee year legislation. The second reason is that a certain “inner spirit” reposes in that region. This is a spirit which comes directly from the emanation חכמה (wisdom), which in turn is fed by the אין סוף (eternal), the ultimate of all causes, G–d’s Essence, at all times. The philological origin of the expression תשובה (repent), is derived from Isaiah 30,15, בשובה ונחת תושעון, “Through returning and rest will you be saved.”

The prophets, who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours, searched and investigated carefully. They were trying to find out what time or circumstances the Ruach of Messiah within them was indicating when predicting the sufferings of Messiah and the glories to follow. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves, but you—in these matters now announced to you through those who proclaimed the Good News by the Ruach ha-Kodesh sent from heaven.
