Ages of Time
“
The school of Eliyahu (Elijah) taught: Six thousand years is the duration of the world. Two thousand of the six thousand years are characterized by chaos; two thousand years are characterized by Torah, from the era of the Patriarchs until the end of the mishnaic period; and two thousand years are the period of the coming of the Messiah.
Six thousand years is the duration of the world, and it is in ruins for one thousand years. The duration of the period during which the world is in ruins is derived from a verse, as it is stated: “And the Lord alone shall be exalted on that day” (Isaiah 2:11)
That is the course that history was to take, but due to our many sins, the Messiah did not come after four thousand years passed, and furthermore, the years that elapsed since then, which were to have been the messianic era, have elapsed.

The Ages of Time (עוֹלָמוֹת/עוֹלָם olam/olamot)
The quote above written over the course of 200 AD to 500 AD tells how the 2nd Temple educated Hebrew saw the timeline of the world and how they feel that the timeline was broken due to the Messiah not arriving as foretold. We know that he did arrive, and this timeline prophecy and plan is not broken but continues to this very day. We are living in the final years of the Age of Grace of the Messiah and very quickly entering the final Jubilee before the Kingdom Age that they Rabbis felt would be Messiah reigning over the ruins of the Earth to rebuild his Kingdom.
The Dead Sea Scrolls (along with Enoch, Jubilees, and the Talmud) focus on the design of God, a design that he shadowed in the weeks of the year, seven days in total. That shadow of 7 days foretold the 7,000 year plan for the splintering and fall, training, redemption, reign and merger of creation.
The Dead Sea Scrolls (along with Enoch and Jubilees) focus on the ages of time, they are four in total:
Age of Chaos: Made up of four Onahs, 2,000 years total.
Age of Torah: Made up of four Onahs, 2,000 years total.
Age of Grace: Made up of four Onahs, 2,000 years total.
Age of Kingdom: Made up of two Onahs, 1,000 years total.
Age of Chaos/Tohu
The Age of Chaos is the first age, mentioned in: 4Q180, Damascus Document, Jubilees, & 1 Enoch. It encompasses the time from the creation and expulsion from Eden to the Final Jubilee 2,000 years later which saw the youth of Abram, Lot, & Sarai. It saw the end of the reign of Nimrod, the collapse of the tower of Babel and the divorce of man from God and assignment to the other Elohim and their nations. The Age of Chaos cleared the table and setup the coming Age of Torah.
This Age goes from roughly 3925 BC to 1925 BC

Age of Torah/Law
The Age of Torah is the second age, often referred to as the current or present age in biblical writings. This age began with God rising up a nation for himself from scratch after he divorced the other nations and assigned them to lessor Elohim. The covenant with Abraham covered all 2000 years of Jewish history culminating with the birth and rise of the Messiah, the destruction of the second Temple, and the diaspora of the Jewish people (360*7=2520 year punishment prophecy on the 360 day calendar culminating on May 14th 1948).
This Age goes from roughly 1925 BC to 75 AD

Age of Grace
The Age of Grace is the third age, marked by the creation of the Church and its mandate to spread the good news to all the corners of the earth for two thousand years. To expand and feed the sheep, to grow a mature crop for the harvest to come at the end of the age.
This Age goes from roughly 75 AD to 2076 AD

Kingdom Age
The Kingdom Age, or Age of Messiah, or Millennial Age is a half age of 1,000 years that sees the reign of the Messiah over the entire Earth from his throne in Jerusalem. This time sees the imprisonment of Ha’Satan Belial (The Accuser, Worthless One) delivering a near Millenia of peace and growth culminating with the release of Ha’Satan Belial, his riling up of the nations against Jerusalem and the final, decisive, and blood-drenched end of evil and those that wish to take part in its rebellion. Followed by the recreation of Earth & the Universe.

New Earth & Heavens Age
The Kingdom Age ends with a second Gog Magog advance on the city of the Lord and after that is quickly dealt with fire. Afterward the Earth and the Heavens are destroyed, there is a Great Throne Judgement and the 8th Day begins, the Shemini Atzeret where those that are part of the Kingdom spend a little more time with God.
This Age goes from roughly Tishrei, the seventh month of 3077 AD onward forever.
The Dead Sea Scroll Calendar
The Dead Sea Scroll calendar (as seen in 4Q324d and other places) is a 12 month, 30 days each month fixed calendar that starts at the Spring Equinox and continues for 52 weeks. As the spring equinox would approach for the next year they would (most likely) calculate its date and start the next year on the closest Wednesday. This would be a self correcting system that would solve the leap year needs and keep the dates in order.
There is also research (Living the Lunar Calendar on JSTOR by Jonathan Ben‑Dov of the University of Haifa) that there was a two layer leap week system of once every Tekufah (7 years) and once more every 28 years, this would keep it less than 21 hours off after over 100 years. It would still drift over time and require correction to the spring equinox but it would be a closer automated system.
We know that the equinoxes and solstices were key for this by a few ways.
The Qumran Sundial & Gilgals
In with the Dead Sea Scrolls was found the stone Qumran Sundial or Qumran Roundel in 1997 (they have created an enlarged replica for visitors at the Qumran site). This sun dial has a calendar marked into it as well as a slot for a short upright stick called a gnomon. The shadow of the stick falls on the rings of the dial for the holiday seasons/new year dates of spring and fall (Priestly new year in the spring and Civil new year in the fall) and outside them for the non holiday seasons.
Similar structures can be seen in the Rujm el-Hiri (Gilgal Refaʾim) in the Golan Heights where the spring and fall equinoxes fall within the notches. During the summer solstice light shines down directly into the center chamber that one day of the year. The kings of Israel would speak with the prophets at a gilgal on high sabbaths and Rosh Chodeshs (first of the months sometimes including Tekufahs).
Tekufahs
To mark each season’s solstice or equinox there was an uncounted day (four in total that brought the calendar to 364 days) called a Tekufah which was the Tuesday before each seasonal month start. Noah created laws recorded in the book of Jubilees, one of which was the Day of Remembrances which are the first day of each season designed to be set aside from work to be a holiday feast to remember the flood and connect with Father, the writings of the Patriarchs and Prophets and family.
“
“For I have written in the book of the first law, in that which I have written for thee, that thou shouldst celebrate it in its season, one day in the year, and I explained to thee its sacrifices that the children of Israel should remember and should celebrate it throughout their generations in this month, one day in every year. And on the new moon of the first month, and on the new moon of the fourth month, and on the new moon of the seventh month, and on the new moon of the tenth month are the days of remembrance, and the days of the seasons in the four divisions of the year. These are written and ordained as a testimony forever

Onahs
Onahs are made up of 500 years, each Age is made up of 4 Onahs except for the final Kingdom Age which is a half age made up of 2 Onahs. The concept of the Onah (עוֹנָה) means cycles. There are 10 Jubilees in a single Onah cycle. Onahs are not mentioned much more often they are called just jubilees but knowing the reader knows it is 500 years not 50, Jubilee cycles, or “Jubilee Onahs”.
“
The world is destined to exist for five hundred years; ten Jubilees make five hundred years. During the first Jubilee, the world was in confusion. During the second Jubilee, the generation of the flood was judged. During the third Jubilee, the generation of the dispersion was judged. During the fourth Jubilee, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah occurred. During the fifth Jubilee, Isaac was born. During the sixth Jubilee, Israel was enslaved in Egypt. During the seventh Jubilee, they went out of Egypt. During the eighth Jubilee, they entered the Land of Israel. During the ninth Jubilee, the first Temple was destroyed. And during the tenth Jubilee, the second Temple was destroyed. At the end of these ten Jubilees, the son of David will come.
Tanna Devei Eliyahu Rabba aka Seder Eliyahu, Chapter 4
”
As with many things from the Jewish midrash writings this is valuable but flawed. When it refers to Jubilees it means the Final Jubilee of the Onah. With four Final Jubilee’s of each Age and this covering two Ages you would expect eight Final Jubilees. In reality you have seven covered and a weird extension of time added to pad out past the occurrence of the Messiah. This extension they added is covered in the Sadar Olam where the Rabbis knew they missed the Messiah and changed the dates to add more time to the timeline prophecy and forbid people to do the math of Daniel to see that they both padded and missed the date.
To go over this in detail here is how the Onah breakdown works according to the Rabbis and where the disconnect is. They skip Onah 1, this could indicate many things that can not be proved but at the least that Onah 1 was quite chaotic. Here are the rest as mentioned by the Rabbis:
Rabbi First Jubilee | Confusion aka Age of Chaos, this is referring to Onah 2 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (2976 BC to 2926 BC). This coincides with the rapture of Enoch 2939 BC
Rabbi Second Jubilee | Generation of the Flood, this is referring to Onah 3 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (2476 BC – 2426 BC). This coincides with nothing which is odd and should be a dramatic point in history. Why the Flood was delayed 450 years might just be attributable to the righteousness of Methuselah where his extended life drove the flood 450 years later than it might have been designed to be? The Flood if you go by the ages written put Noah already born in 2870 BC and the Flood in 2270 BC (So says Genesis 7:11, Jasher 4:1 & Seder Olam 4 when Noah was 600 years old) The activities at the end of the Onah 3 Final Jubilee period were the Egyptian Old Kingdom was in its Fifth Dynasty, characterized by the worship of gods such as Ra (the sun god) and the continued construction of temples and pyramids. The Pyramid Texts, one of the oldest religious texts, began to be inscribed in tombs (2430 BC) This also saw the rise of the Akkadian Empire (2440 BC). So in short the Flood should have happened at the Final Jubilee of the 3rd Onah but was delayed 450 years due to Methuselah. This does not effect other Jubilees though and is the one odd FInal Jubilee with no activity.
Rabbi Third Jubilee | Generation of the Dispersion, this is the Babel incident referring to Onah 4 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (1976 BC to 1926 BC). This coincides with Tower of Babel falling 1930 BC, Chedorlaomer of Elam conquers Sodom 1930 BC, Peleg died 1930 BC, Nahor I died 1929 BC, Abram (49) went to Ur 1929 BC, Abram (50) married Sarah (40) 1928 BC.
Rabbi Fourth Jubilee | Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah occurred, This is where time starts to be added. The destruction of Babel occurred within the lifetime of Lot who was born in 1979 BC a year after Abram, not 500 years later. So this is not in line with the Jubilees.
Rabbi Fifth Jubilee | Isaac was Born, This is continuing to pad time between Onah 4 & Onah 5. Isaac was not born 1000 years after Abram was born. In fact he was born the same year as the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah.
Rabbi Sixth Jubilee | Israel was Enslaved in Egypt, This is the continuation and misunderstanding of the 430 year prophecy of Israel being in Egypt and slavery. Joseph being sold into slavery (1710 BC) nor Hyksos rule of Egypt starting and most likely leading to the people of Israel being enslaved (1638 BC) was not 500 years after Isaac was born.
Rabbi Seventh Jubilee | Israel Leaves Egypt, Now we are back onto the true Final Jubilee Cycle and not padding time. This is referring to Onah 5 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (1476 BC to 1426 BC). This saw the events of the Exodus, the Rebellion of Israel at the report of the Anakim decedents of the Nephilim, also the curse of the 40 Years in the Desert.
Rabbi Eight Jubilee | They Entered/Took Possession of the Land of Israel, This is referring to Onah 6 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (976 BC to 926 BC). This did see the children of Israel take possession of the land but largely is the exact timing of the construction of the Temple of Soloman (dedicated 991 BC) But largely saw the collapse of a unifed Israel into two Kingdoms, Shishak (Shoshenq I), Pharaoh of Egypt, invaded the Kingdom of Judah and sacked Jerusalem (961 BC)
Rabbi Ninth Jubilee | The First Temple was Destroyed, This is referring to Onah 7 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (476 BC to 426 BC). This did not see the destruction of the first temple (that was in 589 BC but they might be generalizing) but was in fact the collapse of Persia from Xerxes I and the Persian Wars against Greece. Xerxes I was assassinated, leading to a period of instability in the Persian Empire. His son, Artaxerxes I, ascended to the throne, which affected the administration of Judea and other territories under Persian rule (465 BC), Ezra’s Mission to Jerusalem (458 BC), Nehemiah’s Return to Jerusalem (455 BC) and the fufillment of the 490 year prophecy decree to rebuild Jerusalem (445 BC). This should be listed as the return to Israel and the start of the 2nd Temple. Jewish tradition says the 2nd Temple lasted 420 years [Yoma 9a]
Rabbi Tenth Jubilee | The Second Temple Was Destroyed, This is referring to Onah 8 Final Jubilee period 9 to 10 (25 AD – 75 AD). This coincides with the rise, ministry and death of the Messiah, the rebellion in Jerusalem, its siege, destruction and dispersion.
All of these correctly and dramatically align with history and the correct Final Jubilees of their Onah except the padded times from the Rabbis measurement of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah to the Exodus. Any Jew who knows their dates would know this did not happen over the course of 1,500 years but the post Messiah Rabbis tried to make it out to be.
Shemitahs
Shemitahs (שְׁמִיטָה), which means a release or letting go time, refers to the sabbatical year in Jewish tradition, which occurs every seventh year in the agricultural cycle as mandated by the Torah. This is when Jews were to release each other from debts.
“
At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require payment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed.
Deuteronomy 15:1-2
”
Jubilees
Jubilees are single years (Yovel) that take place every 7 Shemitahs. These are years of release, where every slave is released, the debt of gentiles is forgiven, and the land trades between Jews is reset to the original design by God. Jubilees are sigular years but also refer to the period of time between them. So there are 10 Jubilee periods in an Onah. This is easier then say there are 7 Shemitahs (7 year periods) and 10 Jubilee Years (single years) to equal 500. The Final Jubilee period is the time between the 9th and 10th Jubilee Year. This makes up a 50 year time frame of extreme events and activity from a Jewish locus.
“
Count off seven Sabbath years—seven times seven years—so that the seven Sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan.
Leviticus 25:8-10
”
Summary of Time
This covers the breakdown of the Ages, 2,000 years made up of 4 Onahs, each Onah made up of 10 Jubilee periods. Each Jubilee period is made up of 7 Shemitahs plus one singular Jubilee Year totaling 50 years.
There are 4 Ages with the last Kingdom Age being only half in length. Why? Only Father knows that but possibly because each Age counts for two days of the seven days of creation with the final age, the Kingdom Age being an Age of rest symbolizing or being foreshadowed by the 7th day of rest which would make it a half Age.
